Gout that goes untreated can lead to worsening pain, joint damage, and some other comorbidities. So it’s really important that you seek medical care. Also, if you’re having fevers, the joints are getting hot or inflamed, if you have a rash on top of the joint, this could be also signs of infection. So gout is a treatable disease and a doctor can certainly get you out of pain. Primary care can help you, rheumatologists, we also help with gout patients, podiatrist. So there’s lots of doctors that specialize in this disease that could really help you. So it is a treatable disease. We have lots of medications, so you should certainly get medical help if you’re having gout symptoms.
