Some other tests that may be done includes a DNC or hysteroscopy where your physician is looking in your uterus to look for things such as polyps or fibroids. This may be done under anesthesia. A doctor may perform a DNC to take a sample or a biopsy of the uterus to check for more serious conditions such as cancer. Or lastly, you may do a test called a sonohysteroscopy, which is done in conjunction with an ultrasound to insert fluid in the uterus to get more defined picture of what is going on.
