Hypertension – Alternative Treatments



There are many proposed alternative treatments for high blood pressure. Many of these do not have much evidence to back their use, but some alternative treatments can be helpful. For alternative treatments, reducing stress by meditating or practicing yoga can be beneficial. Tai Chi and acupuncture may also have some modest benefits for high blood pressure. There are thousands of different supplements and herbs that have been used to treat high blood pressure. Before you start a supplement or herb, you should talk to your pharmacist or physician to make sure there are no interactions with any medications that you’re currently taking.
