How common is leukemia? Over 60,000 cases of leukemia will be diagnosed in the United States this year, accounting for nearly 4% of all cancers. Due in large part to recent advances in care, it is estimated that nearly 400,000 people are surviving a diagnosis of leukemia, either in remission or living with their leukemia under control.
