Transcript

Most recently, the United States Preventative Task Force has put out recommendations to broaden the indications for low dose CT screening for lung cancer. So they’ve widened the age range from 55 to 74 all the way to from 50 years old to 80 years old. They’ve additionally decreased the requirement of how many pack years of smoking history down from 30 to 20, with the idea of being able to target a much larger group of patients that could benefit from these life-saving scans.
