So when we think about biopsying a lung nodule, in order to obtain a real tissue diagnosis, this can be a tricky conversation as well. There are multiple ways to approach a lung nodule biopsy. Radiologists will typically approach this from the outside, with a needle that goes through the chest wall. Pulmonologists and some thoracic surgeons as well will do procedures to biopsy from the inside through a bronchoscope, which has a scope that goes down the mouth, similar to what our gastroenterologists use.
