Can testosterone replacement therapy lead to infertility? Absolutely. I can’t tell you how many guys come in every week who are on testosterone replacement therapy and they have low sperm counts. Many times, these clinics that are providing guys with testosterone replacement therapy don’t tell them about the fertility risks associated with it. However, it is a known risk of taking any form of testosterone replacement therapy can and probably will decrease your sperm counts and in doing so, cause male infertility. Many times guys ask, “Is it permanent?” So it’s usually not permanent, however, it does take many months in order to recover to normal sperm counts.
