Transcript

Even if you’re in the throes of perimenopause or menopause itself, don’t despair. There are treatments available that might be able to help you. First of all, there are medications that may help you with vaginal dryness and other issues that may come up because of it. These may be over the counter or prescribed by your doctor or healthcare professional. Additionally, there are hormonal medications that may help you with other symptoms. Even hormonal birth control may work for some women. Finally, a medication called SSRI may be helpful for hot flashes, which can happen in the case of menopause. In any case, sometimes it’s best to manage it til the symptoms just pass. So the most important thing during this time of menopause is to see your OBGYN or healthcare professional, to talk to you about the symptoms and possible treatment options so that you can feel better during this period of time.
