Transcript

We do not treat the disorder itself with medications. We will treat some of the symptomology of the narcissistic personality disorder with medication. So let’s say this person is very anxious or this person is very depressed. Then we can add an antidepressant. If the person has mood effability, then we can add a mood stabilizer. So I think a lot of the actual medication that is used is more to actually treat the symptoms of the pathological behavior that come about as a result of the narcissistic personality disorder.
