Obesity – Waist to Hip Ratio

One important parameter to consider as someone who specializes in medical weight loss is waist to hip ratio. Patients with obesity will have a higher waist to hip ratio. And we often use this to determine if excess weight is putting their health at risk. This measurement determines how much fat is stored on the waist compared to hips and buttocks. The location of excess weight is an important factor in understanding of their obesity.
