Ovarian Cancer – Medical Attention

There are several symptoms that may be associated and commonly reported by women with ovarian cancer. These symptoms include fatigue, indigestion, back pain, pain with intercourse, constipation, and irregular menses. However, the symptoms have been found to be just as common in women without ovarian cancer. What I always tell my patients is that if you notice something out of sorts that is persistent for at least two weeks, without any explanation or alleviation, then you need to seek out medical attention. And another thing to mention here is that if a woman feels a mass in her belly or notices that she’s only gaining weight in the abdomen or girth in the lower belly area, then don’t ignore it. Most commonly, the masses are felt while lying down and they feel like a firm ball.
