Hydroxychloroquine is available in its generic form and brand name called Plaquenil. It must be prescribed by a physician and available in tablet form to be taken orally. Doses are calculated based on your body weight. Taken as five milligram per kilogram. Maintaining such dosing is known to reduce the long-term risk with its use, in particular, the long-term eye-related side effects.
