If you’ve been diagnosed with pneumonia, you need to follow up with your doctor, usually within two or three days, just to make sure you’re improving. If you’re not improving, you may need to be admitted to the hospital. You may need a cat scan of your chest, or other specialized testing to determine why you’re not improving.
