Premature ejaculation is simply when a man ejaculates sooner than he wishes he would. Or when, and sometimes relatedly, his partner thinks it should have lasted longer as well. So there may be some strict medical definitions, but premature just means sooner than I wish it was. Certainly there are circumstances, maybe periods of high arousal, whatever that environment is for an individual, that creates more of a premature environment than others. So it's not necessarily consistent phenomenon in every scenario. I think everyone has experienced some degree of premature ejaculation as they go through life. I would guess that it's much less common in older gentlemen than it is in younger gentlemen. But I don't have statistics. Premature ejaculation isn't a health condition as much as a satisfaction-related condition. So if the problem is such that a few seconds into any sexual encounter, a man ejaculates, and he'd like to sustain that a little bit, or his partner's dissatisfied, then physicians can sometimes help. The only complication that I could really relate to premature ejaculation would be inability to achieve fertility or to achieve a pregnancy. So if premature ejaculationmeans that a man ejaculates before he wants to and is not yet in a penetrative state, then that can potentially be a problem for him.
