So a prostate is a gland located beneath the bladder of men, and has both sexual and urinary ramifications. From a sexual standpoint, the prostate gland produces semen. And the semen is of course the fluid that helps transmit the sperm at the time of ejaculation. That’s its sexual portion. As for urination, the prostate doesn’t directly have much to do with urination, but as it enlarges and or tightens, it can impede the flow of urine from the bladder and create a whole host of symptoms.
