Psoriatic Arthritis – Epidemiology

Psoriasis affects 2% of the population. Caucasians are two times more likely to have psoriasis than other races. The symptoms could start at any age, but most frequently it peaks in the twenties. In majority of the cases, psoriasis precedes arthritis by an average of eight to 10 years.
