Secondary things that we see with rheumatoid, you can have Sjogren’s as well, where you have dry eyes, dry mouth. RA patients are also at a higher risk for osteoporosis and fractures. So it’s important to get bone density on therapy. Infections are also a risk when you have rheumatoid arthritis. You can have infections because of the medication, but also a lot of patients that are higher risk for pneumonia for example, when they have rheumatoid arthritis. Increased risk of cancer, including lymphoma and leukemia, lung cancer, and melanoma are often seen in higher prevalence with patients with rheumatoid arthritis.
