Transcript

Sciatica typically presents with pain that goes down the leg, usually from the buttock into the back or the side of the thigh, into the calf and into the top or the bottom of the foot. If there’s ever significant numbness, especially if that numbness gets worse, or any significant weakness in the leg or the foot, those are good reasons to contact a physician right away. The other important warning sign is if there’s any incontinence of bowel or bladder or any numbness in the peroneum, those are very, very good reasons to contact your physician right away and let him know.
