Exercise can definitely help sexual function. And it does that in a number of ways. When we have a regular physical health routine and we have regular exercise, we get blood flow to all the areas of our body, including our brain, including our sexual organs. And we have the release of endorphins, which are beautiful neuro-transmitters that create an overall sense of well-being. So exercise helps with the endorphins. It helps with getting vascular supply and nourishment and oxygen to all the cells and organs of our body. And exercise also helps us to maintain body weight. And we know that obesity actually has a detrimental effect on sexual health for many reasons. And so having a regular exercise routine can absolutely help augment or improve sexual health.
