Tinnitus – Risk Factors
Transcript

The risk factors for developing tinnitus include noise exposure. If you have worked around construction or other heavy equipment that makes a loud sound, that could cause some permanent hearing loss, which would in turn sometimes cause tinnitus, or if you're on certain types of medications that have tinnitus as a side effect, there's also other causes of tinnitus such as sinus pressure or issues. Or if you have an issue with wax buildup that can cause issues with tinnitus, or if you've had a traumatic brain injury or some head and neck issues that can also cause tinnitus.
