Transcript

Many women have recurrent urinary tract infections that are related to sexual activity. In this case, she may need to take one preventive dose of antibiotic or some type of supplement at the time of sexual activity. If there is no predisposing factor, then a daily cranberry supplement or something to acidify the urine may be needed on a daily basis. For women who started having infections after menopause, they may need estrogen replacement.
