Transcript

Obesity or higher than normal average weight is a risk factor. Losing weight can significantly reduce a woman’s risk of endometrial cancer and other cancers. Additionally, it goes hand in hand with decreasing the risk of diabetes and high blood pressure, which are also risk factors for endometrial cancer. Using progesterone, especially if on estrogen therapy, can reduce that risk as well. In high-risk population, undergoing prophylactic surgery to remove the uterus can decrease the risk of cancer.
