There are three types of HPV that may land you in the dermatologist’s office: Flat warts, plantar warts, and genital warts. Flat warts appear on the forehead, face, knees, and the tops of your hands. Plantar warts develop on the bottom of your feet. Genital warts are found in the genitalia. This form of HPV is considered the most common sexually transmitted disease.
