At this point, a patient’s diagnosed with Wolff-Parkinson White Syndrome may be asking, “Why did this happen to me?” No one knows why WPW occurs. Patients are born with this extra pathway, perhaps because of an abnormality during fetal development. Remember, most forms of WPW are not life threatening, but it’s important to see your doctor determine what form of the condition you have.
