Common symptoms of WPW are heart palpitations, shortness of breath and low blood pressure. You might also experience dizziness and even fainting spells. In extreme, rare cases, the arrhythmias associated with WPW can cause cardiac arrests. For most people who do experience symptoms, the first sign that they have WPW comes in the form of an accelerated heart rate or palpitations. You may also start regularly passing out. This sign, along with a racing heart, is why most people will go to the emergency room to seek medical attention.
