At Strasburger Orthopaedics, we’ve always been committed to putting medicine in motion for our patients. Our roots as a small boutique family-oriented practice still stay strong, even as years have passed and we’ve expanded our offerings, as well as our role in the local community, eventually becoming part of Syracuse Area Health. Today, we reach even more patients with our vision of health and fitness.

Medicine in Motion: The Mission of Syracuse Area Health – Strasburger Orthopaedics

August 11, 2021

Dr. Scott Strasburger, Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Specialist

Dr. Scott Strasburger completed medical school in Tennessee before pursuing advanced training at the world-renowned American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Alabama. A former athlete himself, Dr. Strasburger understands what athletes go through as they push themselves to achieve more and more.

Dr. Strasburger has made it his mission to provide the best possible care for all of his patients. In many cases, this means taking an arthroscopic surgical approach. When major surgery is required, he’s dedicated to giving his patients the best. To that end, he continually reviews the latest, most cutting edge technologies and treatments available to give his patients top quality care, as our testimonials can tell!

Proud to be one of the first surgeons in the Lincoln, Nebraska area to train with cutting edge robotics-assisted surgical systems for knee replacement, Dr. Strasburger remains one of just a handful offering this precision technology to knee surgery patients. His skill and knowledge currently allow him to leverage the CORI◊ Surgical System for better implant selection and placement, leading to a more ‘natural” feeling knee and restoration of function.

Betsy Davison, Advanced Regenerative Medical Specialist

Betsy Davison, APRN, joined the Syracuse Area Health – Strasburger Orthopaedics team in 2018, as an expert in regenerative care. Betsy received her Masters of Science in Nursing from Walden University and holds current Nebraska APRN and RN licenses. She is AANP and BLS/ACLS certified, and formerly worked for Nebraska Heart Hospital for over 13 years.

Our regenerative offerings include platelet-rich plasma therapy, or PRP. This process involves concentrating the platelets in a draw of your own blood, and injecting it at the source of pain or inflammation. This can enhance your body’s natural regenerative and healing abilities, speeding your way to recovery.

Our practice is also a leader in the use of iovera°, which allows us to “freeze” away pain with injections before surgery, to leave post-op patients comfortable. We can also use iovera° for chronic pain patients for whom other therapies have failed.

Megan Neemann, Athletic Performance Director

Megan Neemann, MS, LAT, ATC, joined the Syracuse Area Health – Strasburger Orthopaedics team in 2020. Megan did her undergraduate work at University of Nebraska at Kearney, and achieved her master’s degree at University of Wyoming. She then spent 5 years as the athletic trainer at Lincoln Christian High School through Bryan Health, and two more years at Children’s Hospital and Medical Center’s Lincoln Specialty Pediatric Clinic working with the Orthopaedic, Sports Medicine, and Weight and Wellness programs.

Now, Megan helps deliver quality sports medicine care and athletic performance training for our athletic program. As an athletic trainer with 9 years of experience, she helps people perform at their best, whether they are amateurs, professionals, or just dedicated to fitness and athleticism. At Syracuse Area Health – Strasburger Orthopaedics, we are committed to pushing the limits of what medicine can do to make you as strong, fit, and healthy as possible.
