One of the most common questions that we get is a patient asking if their cancer is genetic. Actually more often than not, these tumors are not necessarily genetic, but are spontaneous.

 

A lot of it is due to our Western diet unfortunately. Even in Japan and Asia, they don’t actually see as much colon cancer, they see more gastric cancer, and it’s all due to diet. And unfortunately, living in America or in Western civilization, we see more colon cancers based on the diet that we consume.
