Gallbladder Removal – Why It Is Needed

One of the more common things that’s also being asked when I tell my patients your gallbladder should be removed. They’re asking “Why not just the stones? Why don’t we just get the stones out and leave the gallbladder as it is?” Well, the problem in this situation is that it’s the gallbladder that is the organ that’s involved with the process of the disease. It’s the gallbladder that is not functioning normally. And that’s why the gallbladder is usually removed along with the gallstones.
